As mentioned in my Vacation Beauty Essentials post, a couple of weeks ago, my twin sis and bestie joined me in Miami for the ULTIMATE girls weekend! I posted the on my channel but this post is going to give you all the details as far as accommodations and “things we did”!
We stayed at the Boulan South Beach and it was SUCH a great choice for us. We stayed in the Deluxe Ocean View Suite which included a full kitchen, sofa with a pull out bed, (2) televisions, (1.5 bath) and one King bed. The STAR of this suite was DEFINITELY the bathroom. The bathtub was absolutely #bathgoals and I packed a Lush bath bomb JUST for this! Did it meet all of my expectations for a glamorous bath sesh – YES!
The staff was nice BUT room service came really early on our floor so a couple days while we were there we hadn’t left the room yet when they tried to clean; which meant we wouldn’t have house cleaning until the next day. Wasn’t a huge issue – but something I noticed! The room was stacked with plenty of towels and blankets though.
The location of this hotel was also fabulous – you are right off Collins where it is easy to hit the beach (the hotel has a private area and you get towels + beach chairs included with your stay) or walk to restaurants and shopping. Lincoln Road Mall is also less than 5 minutes away!
My sister and I are DEFINITELY #foodies and are avid Yelp users. Our first night we ate at Barton G’s – which we had heard nothing but great things about but honestly, wasn’t that great :/ Very much so a “tourist” spot with all the extra semantics in presentation that made the food in comparison not level up.
Also, we sat outside and there were literally baby POSSUMS staring at us while we ate O_o
We did end up finding a fantastic breakfast/brunch spot called The Social Club where the prices were spot on for what we ordered (a lot of restaurants in South Beach are a bit over-priced, TBH). ORDER THE CHICKEN & WAFFLE SLIDERS! Just trust me on this! #EVERYTHING
We also ate at one of my favorite spots, STK! There are many locations both in the U.S. and internationally so if you ever get the chance – STK is always a good move! I had the Lamb, Parmesan Truffle Fries, Wild Mushrooms & Onions + a Cucumber Martini. Delish!
As mentioned earlier, our hotel had a private beach area that was great because there wasn’t a ton of random people like you see near Ocean Drive, which is the popular tourist/young area. If you want to mix & mingle; head to Ocean Drive. If you want more of a relaxed & chill vibe, stay somewhere that has a private beach!
Our hotel also had a great rooftop pool that included daybeds and plenty of areas to lounge. Unfortunately, someone broke glass in the pool and it was closed on our last day – tragic!
BUT – it lead us to check out the National Hotel! They offer $35 day passes to access their pool/private beach area.
We had already spent a few hours at the beach that day so we stayed in the pool area and OMG the drinks were AWESOME! Our waiter suggested a couple different cocktails to try and my favorite – I ordered a few 😉 – was the Coconut Mojito! Believe me, it was the best mojito I’ve ever had!
The main event of our weekend was our Spa Day! I searched for a bit to find the best option in Miami that would give us the best bang for our buck, and that was the. This package came with a 50 min service (my bestie and I got the Hot Stone Massage – OMG, heaven!) and my preggo twin got the Triple Moisture Facial, which she loved! With the services we also got a two course lunch at a restaurant inside the hotel – really good! and access to the pools and private beach area.
We basically stayed there allllll day and it was the most relaxing experience. Much needed for the three of us work-a-holics!
Hope you all enjoyed this post and let me know if you’d like to see more posts about my travel escapades! Don’t forget to also watch thefrom our weekend!
